1990 Dave Moulton FUSO FR-1

Custom builder Dave Moulton built a production bike called the FUSO. It came in three models but all have the same frame, just different paint qualities and such. This is a standard FUSO FR-1 in excellent condition with Columbus SL/SP tubes and standard diameter tubing (no OS). Dave Moulton came to California in about 1980 from England and his new company name would be FUSO, meaning Moulton in Italian. He was one of the best frame builders around with nicely mitered tubes and really fine lug work. He worked for Masi and Colnago in his earlier days.

This Fuso is a 1990 from the serial number (#2070 58 - the 58 refers to the center of the BB to the very tip of the point on the seat lug, which is about 2cm taller than the center of the top tube), ocean blue with white panels built-up with Shimano Ultegra/600 and 105 STI brifters, FIR wheels w/DT spokes, 7 speed 12x25 cassette, 53x39 chain rings, 170 mm crank. It has a 56cm seat tube c-t-c and a 56cm top tube c-t-c, english threads and a 1 inch head set. Always stored inside. There are a few scuffs on the right chain stay, and 1 pinhead size mark on the downtube. Bar tape has some scrapes. Rear spacing is 130mm spacing proper.
